Dybala demands 3,700,000 euros from Juventus - a lawsuit is already on standby

Deduction of 15 points for rigging prices of players to settle the club's final accounts are a benign punishment compared to what the Bianconeri risk if it is proven that they have paid footballers' wages in violation of the rules

During his testimony before the prosecutors leading the "Prism" investigation, Paulo Dybala indicated that Juventus owe him 3,700,000 euros and that they have until April to pay him. If they don't do that by then, his lawyers already have a lawsuit prepared, and La Hoya intends to sue Juventus for material damage because he didn't renew his contract despite the promise to do so.

According to Dybala's testimony, Juve's agreement with the players was that unpaid wages during the Covid-19 pandemic would be compensated through supplements to monthly incomes, with a deadline set for the payment of the full amount for footballers who are sold in the meantime or whose contracts are not renewed, which is Dybala's case.

An additional problem for Juve, but also for Dybala, is that the document with the signatures of the two parties on the agreement was not deposited to the Serie A governing bodies but remained in the form of a private contract between the two parties. The Argentinian footballer risks being suspended for a month or more for that offence.

Dybala's testimony further fueled the atmosphere ahead of Roma's clash with Juventus at the Olimpico on Sunday night, but also fears that the 15-point deduction for rigging the sale and purchase prices of players to settle the club's final accounts is a benign punishment compared to what the Bianconeri risk if proven that contrary to the rules, they paid salaries to football players, i.e. arrears for unpaid salaries during the break in the championship due to Covid three years ago.
