The team are currently reaping the rewards of change in approach as they are unbeaten in last four games
Former AFC Leopards midfielder Duncan Otieno has hailed his current Kenya Police FC side for coming together and starting to play as a team as opposed to placing all the weight of expectations on the shoulders of a few individual talent at the newly promoted outfit.
During the off season transfer, Duncan was among a pentagon of impressive signings made by the law enforcers that included John Mark Makwatta, fleet footed winger Clifton Miheso, former Gor Mahia captain Musa Mohammed and Harambee Stars midfielder Duke Abuya.

While many had expected the team to be an instant hit in the top flight owing to the experienced signings they made, the opposite has been true as the John Boby Ogolla coached side sit in 13th place on 12 points, just five above the relegation places.
However, after losing five of their opening seven games, the team has not lost any of their last four fixtures. Duncan revealing that that has been possible as a result of the shift in strategy.
“We now have a good team currently because when we came in it was me, Miheso, Abuya, Muhammed, Makwatta and the others we found there. So despite the quality talent, it was difficult to play because we are just individuals. We had to come on board to start playing together and I feel now we are doing much much better,” the former Lusaka Dynamos midfielder told Mozzart Sport.
The midfielder also credited the team for giving its players a good environment to hone their craft as they work to improve even further on their results.
“I feel good, we were welcomed well and we were given the environment to improve as a player. Also, with the quality that is in the team, you just have to push yourself because there a lot of good players,” the player added.
