After topping league leaders Napoli, the strugglers eliminate Mourinho's Roma at Stadio Olimpico
All eyes are on Napoli, as the Neapolitans are steadily marching towards their first Serie A title after more than three decades, but the greatest story in Italian football - trust us on this is one - is definitely Cremonese.
Cremonese. 0 wins in 20 Serie A matches. Through to the Coppa Italia semi-finals after knocking out Napoli and Roma! What a story. https://t.co/IfrBV4dESA

The worst team in the league that has lost 12 out of 20 games, and drew the rest (yet without a single Serie A victory!), is living a totally different life in Coppa Italia. After shocking Napoli at the Diego Armando Maradona stadium in the penalty shootout, Cremonese managed to upset another Italian colossus, AS Roma, at Stadio Olimpico in Rome on Wednesday night, 2-1.
Super Eagles striker Cyriel Kolawole Dessers scored from the spot to help Cremonese beat AS Roma 2-1 and reach the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia.

Led by impeccable Nigerian striker Cyriel Dessers, the underdogs defeated Jose Mourinho's slot in a one-leg tie, killing all their hopes of lifting any trophy this season.
In the next round, the semifinals, they'll face Fiorentina at home and after such two splendid achievements, Cremonese should be considered slight favourites to reach the Coppa Italia showdown.
If they somehow win the competition, there's a possibility that a second-tier side will play UEFA Europa League next season.
