Erling Braut Haaland and Giovanni Reyna are seeking the UCL success against Manchester City, the club in which featured both of their fathers

One of the most interesting UEFA Champions League 1/4 finals fixtures is definitely the clash between Manchester City and Borussia Dortmund. Plenty of firepower on both ends, with Dortmund hoping that their prodigious attacker Erling Braut Haaland would shine (once again) on the biggest stages of all.

However, for him and BVB midfielder Giovanni Reyna, 18, this two-leg tie will have a glimpse of personal touch, too. Both of their fathers, Alf-Inge Haaland and Claudio Reyna, had left a significant trace playing for City in the first years of the 21st century. Haaland Sr. was a decent defender whose career was destroyed after that infamous Roy Keane's tackle in the Manchester derby. On the other hand, Reyna, the prolific midfielder of American origins, enjoyed prolific years at Etihad Stadium, netting four times in 87 appearances for the Citizens.

Now it's the time for their offsprings to upset the favourites, while the old Reyna and Haaland will probably have a bittersweet sensation regardless of the outcome.
