Future star of world football Julian Alvarez will remain at River Plate for six more months
As you might have read here at Mozzart Sport Kenya some ten days ago, Manchester City have completed the deal to acquire Argentinean forward Julian Alvarez from River Plate.
The official confirmation arrived from the English club on transfer deadline day, along with City's Director of Football Txiki Begiristain's quotes about the latest arrival.
"Julian is a player we have monitored for some time. He is capable of operating in a number of attacking roles, and we firmly believe he's one of the best young attacking players in South America. I am so happy we have managed to bring him to Manchester City. I really believe we can provide him with the right conditions to fulfil his potential and become a top player."

Alvarez's Manchester City contract will run util Juve 2026, but the 22-year-old promising player won't play in England this season as he'll remain loaned back to the Argentinean giants "at least" until July 2022. After that, he'll be given a chance to follow in the footsteps of his compatriot Sergio Aguero, who starred for the Citizens for a decade.

There is no pressure on the Argentina international to deliver goals quickly, however, because Pep Guardiola has seemingly found a way to win even without recognized strikers in his squad.
