Police go into the match after a three-week hiatus occasioned by the international break,

The FKF Women Premier League disciplined forces derby pitting Ulinzi Starlets against Kenya Police Bullets is set to take place today Sunday, 7 December, from 1300 hours at the Police Sacco Stadium.

The highly anticipated clash is the only match of the day after the other five fixtures were played on Saturday, 6 December.

Ahead of today’s match, Trinity Starlets are at the summit of the league table with 17 points, one ahead of Kayole Starlets who moved to second, with Police in third on 15 points and with two games in hand.

The military side are sixth on the log with 11 points as they continue to struggle for form.

Police go into the match after a three-week hiatus occasioned by the international break, during which they contributed the bulk of the Harambee Starlets squad.

They head into the match with a 100 percent record, having won all their five matches of the season, a testament to their dominance in the league.

The David Vijago-coached side will now be aiming their guns at Ulinzi who remain among the title contenders.

Vijago will however have to plan without the services of Brenda Ann, Leah Andiema, Lucy Kwekwe and Mary Nthambi, all of whom were enlisted into the National Police Service recruitment.

Ulinzi head coach Collins Ochieng has also suffered the same fate after six of his players, Joy Kinglady, Lavender Akinyi, Tabitha Amoit, Mary Ojende, Phiona Ariko, and Cindy Ngaira were enlisted into the military and are currently away for training.

Ulinzi appear to be feeling the absence of the six, with the club looking a pale shadow of their former self in their 3–2 loss to Kayole Starlets in their last outing.
