Football is a matter of life and death. You’ve heard people say this. Passionate fans, ready to die for their colours. It all seems like some epic tale from the old times. Until someone threatens to take someone’s life for real.
Nicolo Pirlo, son of the Juventus coach Andrea, showed messages wishing death upon him and his father and explained he receives them daily.

"I'm 17 and I'm getting death threats because I'm the son of a Juventus coach."

The Bianconeri coach has struggled in his first season at the Allianz Stadium and the issues continued in a 1-1 draw with Fiorentina last weekend. It’s a poor season for Juventus’ standards, but seeing vile words being spread over social media does everyone a lot of harm.
Andrea Pirlo’s son revealed he’s the recipient of unpleasant messages from alleged Juventus fans.
“There’s a limit to everything and this limit has been exceeded for some time now. Everyone has the power to say what he wants, but in this case my fault would be to be the son of a coach who, as it should be, someone doesn’t like. Put yourself in my shoes, how would you feel?”
“In regards to the initial expectations, I’m not happy with the work I’ve done. And I don’t think the club is either”

The son attached a screenshot of one of the numerous messages received in the last hours, saying: “You must die with your father.”
Social media has recently become a platform for disgusting people to spread racism, xenophobia and other kinds of hateful messages and abuse. It’s time to put an end to it!
