Deschamps introduces serious changes to France squad ahead of mission impossible

France are trailing 2-0 to Croatia after the first leg of the UEFA Nations League quarter-finals. They need a massive comeback tonight in Paris (10.45 pm) if they want to reach the F4

It would be offending to call Croatia's 2-0 victory over France in Split on Thursday night a massive upset. Luka Modric and his teammates have been among the best European national teams for years, but we were surprised to see Didier Deschamps' side on the ropes following the UEFA Nations League first leg.

Tonight, at Stade de France in Paris (10.45 pm), the two heavyweights meet again in what could be a genuine spectacle, especially considering Les Bleus' mission (im)possible to bounce back from two goals down and reach the Final Four.

However, to do so, Kylian Mbappe and his lot must improve their showing drastically. And some changes need to be made in the starting XI to make things work much smoother than a few days ago.

According to French media, in order to get the job done, Deschamps will introduce some serious changes, especially in midfield. Les Bleus' boss revealed on Saturday night that Adrien Rabiot was likely to miss the encounter due to a calf injury, and Eduardo Camavinga will most likely replace him.

Moreover, Bayern Munich's Michael Olise is expected to start in place of Randal Kolo Muani, who didn't impress in the first leg.

Lucas Digne may also give way for AC Milan's mercurial full-back Theo Hernandez, while Manu Kone could also come in for Matteo Guendouzi in the reshufled midfield.
