With Axel Disasi allegedly reintegrated in the Blues' first team due to numerous injuries, the 20th all-time Premier League top scorer remains their last "banished" player
Chelsea's bomb squad - a group of written-off players - has gained some notoriety over the last couple of months. The cast-off crew gradually grew over time, but, as of this week, it reportedly has only one remaining member - Raheem Sterling!
At the beginning of the pre-season period, the group included numerous names, such as Djordje Petrovic, Renato Veiga, Armando Broja, Ben Chilwell, Joao Felix, and others.
However, as the June Transfer Window went on, it was shrinking, until only two members remained - Sterling and Axel Disasi.
Yet, the latest information from London claims the Frenchman has recently been reintegrated into Chelsea's first team, due to the numerous sidelined players in the Blues' defensive line (Levi Colwill, Benoit Badiashile), as well as the injury-proneness of Wesley Fofana and Reece James.
🚨 Axel Disasi has made it out of Chelsea’s so-called 'Bomb Squad', with the defender returning to training with the first-team squad on Thursday.

This way, the centre-back whom the Blues brought from Monaco two years ago for €45 million will get a new chance to prove himself to Enzo Maresca, though he'll be available just for the EFL Cup and FA Cup, as he hadn't been registered for the Premier League and Champions League.
On the other hand, the 20th all-time Premier League top scorer, Sterling, has hit a career low, remaining the only Blues player "banished" from the first team.
