Deadline Day stoppage time sees Enzo finally breaking the EPL record, as Chelsea directs Ziyech's horror

This January Transfer Window was totally around Chelsea and their unbelievable spending spree, which ended a few minutes before midnight last night by signing Benfica's Enzo Fernandez for a Premier League record £106.8m (€121m).

The 22-year-old, who only joined Benfica at the start of the season for around £10m, has signed an eight-and-a-half-year deal at Stamford Bridge to keep him at the club until 2031.

Chelsea had been in talks to sign the World Cup winner throughout January, but Benfica had refused to do business unless the Blues paid his €120m release clause.

But Chelsea agreed to pay even bit more, only in several instalments.

On the other hand, Hakim Ziyech's proposed loan from Chelsea to Paris St-Germain collapsed because the documentation to complete the transfer was not submitted in time. Or at least the right one, because the latest news suggests the Blues sent the false one, which prevented Ziyech from moving to the Paris-based dream team.

It remains to be seen if there is any solution, but as it currently stands Ziyech would have to return to Chelsea.

PSG are privately blaming Chelsea for not submitting documents to the French authorities before the deadline.
