Still, the former Brazilian midfielder didn't forget how much Cristiano helped him during his first days in Manchester

Anderson Luis de Abreu Oliveira, better known as just Anderson, was one of the key players on Sir Alex Ferguson's team that dominated the Premier League for years.

The Brazilian, who spent eight years at Old Trafford, won nine trophies with the Red Devils, including four EPL titles and the 2007/2008 UEFA Champions League, and many would even consider him one of the club's modern legends.

Following his departure from the Theatre of Dreams, Anderson spent five years at Internacional and Coritiba in his homeland, and the Turkish Adana Demirspor, before hanging up the boots and stepping out of the public eye.

Numerous stories about his playing days - he was reportedly very fond of hamburgers - as well as the post-playing period (car crash, debts, risk of imprisonment) have been told, but he rarely spoke to the media.

This week, he finally decided to return to the spotlight, talking to his ex-teammate Rio Ferdinand on his Rio Meets show, and the most interesting part of his guest appearance was his memory of his maiden days in Manchester when he lived with Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Portuguese superstar did allow Anderson to live rent-free in his house, but...

"You always have to help in the supermarket. I say ‘come on’, you need to help the guy," he revealed via The Sun.

So, if Ronaldo tells you to go to the supermarket...

“Yes, I have to go!” the 38-year-old admitted, before touching on the expenses and transportation matter.

“One week I have to pay for the supermarket… because you’re living rent free in his house. He brings you to the training ground every day, come on," Anderson said, and Ferdinand had an additional question.

“Did you always give them money for petrol or not?”

“No, nothing!" said the former midfielder with a smile on his face.

In the end, it's safe to say that Anderson fulfilled what many boys had dreamed of - he played and lived with Cristiano Ronaldo.
