Red Star fulfilled player's wish to be transferred to Metalac from Gornji Milanovac
Serbian giant Red Star Belgrade and Metalac have reached an agreement on a season-long loan deal for Kenyan youngster Richard Odada.
The midfielder, born in 2000, impressed while featuring for Graficar on loan from Red Star last winter and won the heart of Red Star coach Dejan Stanković who promoted him to the senior team.
However, Odada has failed to make a bigger impact in the strong first team squad in the recently concluded window and was limited to a couple of minutes in the closing stages of matches against Proleter (12) and Mladost (17).
Due to limited opportunities and with the goal of continuing his football development, Odada agreed with Red Stars' assessment that the ideal step for him is to go on loan. Apart from Metalac, Radnički Kragujevac and Kolubara also showed interest for the Kenyan. However, the club fulfilled the player's wish to move to Metalac.
Metalac from the town of Gornji Milanovac finished the season in the ninth place and is generally perceived as the club that offers chances to young, talented players, who are looking for more playing time.
