For the first time since the Portuguese's tragic death, his two former Premier League sides will face each other

It's been almost six months since Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva tragically died in a car accident in Spain. The wounds are still deep and hurting, while a void remains in the hearts of all those who knew and loved him.

Still, life goes on, and as long as he is remembered and his legacy lives on, Jota is never truly gone. And his former Premier League sides, Liverpool and Wolverhampton, will take care of that.

Jota's wife Rute Cardoso and her two sons, Duarte and Dinis, attended the home openers for both clubs and received warm welcomes at Anfield against Bournemouth and at Molineux against Manchester City. Today, the Reds and the Wolves will meet for the first time since Jota's passing.

To honour the mark Diogo left at both teams, his sons will be mascots at today's clash at Anfield (18.00), as both rivals take the opportunity to keep their former player's memory alive.

It will be an emotional occasion, that's for sure, and Jota will definitely watch his beloved Reds and Wolves from heaven, proud of the impact he had on those classy football giants.

Diogo Jota - Forever in our hearts.
