An interesting way in which the Senegalese and English footballer resolved their dispute after the clash in the match four days ago
Everton teammates Idrissa Gueye and Michael Keane seem to have moved on from the astonishing incident at Old Trafford, after joking around with a mock boxing match during Thursday’s training session—clear proof that tempers have cooled.

Gueye was shown a straight red card just 13 minutes into Everton’s 1–0 win over Manchester United, having struck his own teammate in a moment that goalscorer Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall later described as a “moment of madness”.
The clash started when Keane criticised Gueye for a careless pass. The Senegalese midfielder confronted him, lost his composure, and raised his hand—enough for referee Tony Harrington to immediately produce the red card. Gueye later offered a public apology, taking full responsibility in a remorseful social-media message addressed to Keane. Photos from Finch Farm on Thursday showed the pair back in good spirits.

"All love," the club wrote on X, adding a blue heart emoji.
A light-hearted video soon followed, showing the two players play-fighting in a pretend boxing match at the training ground. Despite going down to ten men so early, Everton dug in and pulled off a surprising 1–0 win, with Dewsbury-Hall’s 29th-minute goal ultimately deciding the match.

Both Dewsbury-Hall and manager David Moyes explained afterwards that Gueye had apologised to everyone in the dressing room, and the Senegalese midfielder reinforced his regret with a message posted later that evening.
"I want to apologise first to my team-mate Michael Keane," his Instagram post read. "I take full responsibility for my reaction. I also apologise to my teammates, the staff, the fans and the club."
