The French club is a parent club also owned by BlueCo, the company who is Chelsea’s owner and the fans from the two teams are combining forces for the first time to demand the ownership’s departure after the “continued erosion” of their clubs.

“As a result of the continued erosion of values at both football clubs, we have decided to come together to take action with one clear, unified message: BlueCo Out. Members of Ultra Boys 90, Kop Ciel et Blanc, Federation des supporters du RCS and Pariser section have kindly agreed to fly over to London and walk in unison with us on a protest march towards Stamford Bridge ahead of the match. We believe this could be a seismic moment in the history of football, where fans of clubs from separate countries will come together to do what is right not only for our clubs individually, but for the sport more widely. Together, we can force change” reads the statement on Twitter.

The statement was the work of ‘NotAProjectCFC’ group, who organised a protest ahead of Chelsea’s match against Brentford in January. Chelsea supporters staged a mass protest at Stamford Bridge, demanding the return of previous owner Roman Abramovich and the reinstatement of recently-sacked boss Enzo Maresca, but now will look for BlueCo removal from the ownership. Strasbourg fan groups are flying to London to join a Chelsea supporter protest before the London club’s home game against Manchester United on April 18.
