Since the forward played the best football in his career in Dortmund, many agree that his second return to Signal Iduna Park would be an ideal move

It seems that any time Jadon Sancho has no idea where he'll play next, he can count on Borussia Dortmund to help him and try bringing him back to life.

In 2017, he joined the Bundesliga side as one of the most talented Man City children for around €21 million and completely exploded in Germany. Hence, it's no wonder Man United decided to splurge a four times higher amount to bring him in 2021.

Yet, it turns out that's when Sancho's downfall began.

In the next four years, he never came close to the player he used to be at Borussia. His spell with the Red Devils and a loan to Chelsea were as poor as it gets, and the only period he hinted at his glorious past days was between January and June 2024, which he spent at Dortmund as a United loanee.

After all, the numbers don't lie. Sancho played more games, scored more goals, and made more assists for the German team than for the two Premier League clubs combined. His tally of 53 goals and 67 assists in 158 appearances for BVB is more than decent, and they seem to be the only ones that can revive his declining career.

At one point, Juventus were considered favourites to sign him, but the forward's vast salary expectations chased the Bianconeri away. He had the same problem with Chelsea, and if he wants to get a new chance in Germany, he'll have to be more realistic in his demands.

Juve reportedly offered €25 million to United for Sancho's transfer, though they would be satisfied at Old Trafford even with €18-20 million Borussia could pay.

The first two spells were fruitful. Will Dortmund once again turn the 25-year-old's career around, or is there no hope left? It may sound harsh, but if they cannot do it, no team in the world can.
