
Chaos across France, Moroccan teenager died in Montepllier

Both set of fans clashed after the game, mainly in south of France
Chaos on the streets across France erupted when the referee blew the whistle to end the match between Didier Deschamp’s men and Morocco in the World Cup semi-final. Clashes broke out between French and Moroccan fans across the country, and the fiercest fights were seen in Montpellier and Nice. More than 10,000 police officers participated in calming the situation.
A tragedy occurred in Montpellier in which a car hit a Moroccan boy, who died in the hospital.
"A 14-year-old boy who was hit by a car in Montpellier after the semi-finals of the World Cup was brought to the hospital in serious condition, but later died" the local government said in a statement.

The boy was allegedly in a group of Moroccan fans who tried to remove the French flag from the car. The investigation is ongoing. Videos have appeared on social networks showing riots in Avignon, Montpellier and Nice, where pyrotechnics were used.

Also, as RMC reports, A group of 40 people close to the ultra-right, who were preparing to join the Champs-Elysées in Paris after the semi-final of the World Cup won by France against Morocco, were arrested, in particular for carrying prohibited weapons.
“They clearly wanted to fight it out on the Champs" added a police source. According to the same source, the control and prevention system was put in place around the Champs-Elysées and that was the main reason everything was done so quickly and without casualties. Some 2,200 police and gendarmes were mobilized in Paris on Wednesday evening to supervise any activities after the France – Morocco match.
