The fan federation has been key in helping its members and the general public to attend Harambee Stars matches in the ongoing 2024 CHAN.
KEFOFA, who supported fans with 500 silver tickets for Kenya's 1-1 draw against Angola on Thursday, 7 August, are looking to sponsor more fans in the Sunday, 17 August match, as expressed by chairman Francis Liboyi.
“For the last match against Zambia, we are targeting at least Ksh1 million for tickets. We want to sponsor at least 2,500 Kenyans with regular tickets and an additional 1,000 with silver tickets as we close the group phase,” revealed Liboyi.
To achieve this target, the KEFOFA head honcho has called on corporates and well-wishers to come on board and reach out to the federation through Liboyi’s email, [email protected].
Just like they did in the Angola clash, KEFOFA, who are the registered body representing fans from local clubs and the national team, will issue tickets to the Sunday, 10 August match pitting Kenya against Morocco at Kasarani Stadium.
“As part of our mandate, we will be supporting our members and Kenyans at large to attend Harambee Stars matches, fill the stadium and support the boys.
For the match against Morocco, we have secured 500 silver tickets, just like it was against Angola,” said Liboyi.
The tickets, which are courtesy of former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka, who also sponsored the Angola clash, will be distributed through various KEFOFA County Coordinators and Branches affiliated with them.
The remaining tickets will then be issued on a first-come, first-served basis to the general public.
Liboyi also took time to rally all Kenyans to play the 12th man role, appreciating their role in the 1-1 draw against Angola.
“We will once again be at home against Morocco, and we therefore ask everyone to paint the stadium red with their Harambee Stars jerseys.
We have all seen how important fans were in our last two matches, and we must strive to make it even better on Sunday to push the boys closer to the quarter finals,” he concluded.
The much-awaited match will kick off at 1500hrs.
