Cesc seeks vengeance after Inter 'stole' two Como's transfer targets

The former Arsenal and Barcelona midfielder and current Como boss revealed an intriguing fact about two of Nerazzurri's players ahead of today's derby clash in Milan (20.00)

Cesc Fabregas is one of the best young tacticians in the world, and his Como are the most pleasant Serie A surprise this season. Hence, it's no wonder the Spaniard is predicted to become the next Barcelona or Man City boss, while his team sits in fifth place in the league, only four points behind the leading duo of AC Milan and Napoli.

However, the popular I Lariani are in for a vast challenge today, as they'll face the Champions League runners-up, Inter Milan (20.00). With an eventual win, Como could catch up with Cristian Chivu's crew and remain among the Serie A top teams, but beating the Nerazzurri won't be easy, and Fabregas knows it.

Speaking in the pre-match press conference, the 38-year-old admired the quality of the Milan side's squad and particularly highlighted several of their players, revealing some intriguing information about two of them.

Namely, according to Cesc, Como were on the verge of signing Petar Sucic and Luis Henrique, who eventually still ended up at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza for €14.6 million and €22.8 million, respectively.

"I'm a big fan of Lautaro, Dimarco, Sucic, I feel he is one of mine. It was all done for him. We tried to sign Luis Henrique last year. It means we must have good eyes. I'm a big fan of the player, for his footballing personality," Fabregas disclosed via Football Italia.

The duo combined for 29 games, one goal, and two assists in Inter's jersey in all competitions this season. And who knows - they might have been better had they ended up at Como, though I Lariani are doing just fine even without the Croat and the Brazilian.
