The disagreement arose during a league match between Nairobi United and Migori Youth at Mpesa Foundation, where Mouge was allegedly attacked by individuals believed to be Migori Youth supporters

The police officer who was attacked during Migori Youth's clash against Nairobi United, Beatrice Mouge has reached an amicable agreement to resolve their dispute out of court.

The disagreement arose at Mpesa Foundation, where Mouge was on record being attacked by individuals believed to be Migori Youth supporters.

A widely circulated video of the incident led her to seek legal recourse.

The altercation occurred after Nairobi United scored their second and decisive goal. A section of fans, believing the goal was illegitimate, went overboard in venting their frustrations, leading to a temporary halt of the match.

Amid the chaos, Mouge was harassed, prompting her to file a complaint in pursuit of justice.

However, Mozzart Sport can now confirm that both parties—Migori Youth and Mouge—have resolved the matter amicably, opting for an out-of-court settlement.

Mouge, guided by her strong Christian values, informed the court that forgiveness was the best resolution. She confirmed that she had suffered no injuries from the incident and remained in good health.

The court was also informed that the agreement was reached voluntarily, without coercion, force, or external influence.

Migori Youth chairman Aziz Osman, accompanied by the club’s legal representative Edwin Ayiro, personally reached out to Mouge to offer a formal apology.

They emphasized the importance of reconciliation and addressing any outstanding grievances. Mouge accepted the apology and confirmed her decision not to pursue further legal action against Migori Youth, its representatives, or associates.

A formal agreement was signed on Friday 7 February 2025, referencing the original complaint recorded at Karibaribi Police Post under OB 08/4/2/25, now transferred to DCIO Thika Police Station. The agreement outlines the following key points:

In line with Article 159(2)(c) of the Constitution, which promotes alternative dispute resolution, Migori Youth representatives, including legal counsel Ayiro Edwin Chahilu and Chairman Abdi Aziz Osman, reached out to P.C. Beatrice Mouge to extend a formal apology and facilitate reconciliation. The complainant accepted the apology and agreed to withdraw the case.

Mouge, drawing from her Christian faith, believes forgiveness is a more holistic resolution than prolonged legal proceedings. She affirmed that she has not suffered any lasting injuries and is in good health.

The agreement was made voluntarily, without any form of coercion or undue influence.

As a result of this agreement, No. 243307 P.C. Beatrice Mouge has formally withdrawn her complaint and will not pursue any criminal or civil proceedings against Migori Youth Football Club or its affiliates.

The parties have deposited this agreement with DCIO Thika for formal withdrawal of the complaint, as required by law.
