Veteran midfielder is on the verge of signing for Salernitana
No matter how many times you write Franck Ribery off - he keeps on going relentlessly. The 38-year-old Frenchman is about to sign a $1.8 million one-year contract with Serie A newly promoted club Salernitana.
The former France international has been a free agent since the expiration of his Fiorentina contract two months ago. In the meantime, he spent some time training with Bayern, the club he played for 12 years and won every trophy imaginable.

His stats for the legendary 2012/13 season:
- 55 Appearances ✅
- 16 Goals ⚽️
- 29 Assists 🅰️
- UCL Winner 🥇
- Bundesliga Champion 🇩🇪

It was in 2019, after his stay in Germany came to an end, that he embarked on a different adventure with Fiorentina in Serie A. During two seasons with Viola, Ribery managed a total of five goals in 51 appearances.
In recent weeks, he was contacted by Hellas Verona, but it's the club from Salerno that offered the best terms to the Frenchman. A wage of $1.8 million plus possible performance-related bonuses was too good to turn down.

Salernitana fans will face a difficult struggle to remain in Serie A after their last season's promotion and they could use a player of such quality and experience. It's happenning!
