With just three games to go in the 2021/22 season and a massive seven-point gap between them, Pyramids FC needed to beat Future on Monday to keep the pressure, but the moneybags lost 1-0, handing Zamalek the title.
The champions will be crowned on Tuesday at Cairo International Stadium after their game against Ittihad of Alexandria.
It has been a bumper last two seasons for Zamalek who won the delayed 2020/2021 Egyptian Cup against arch rivals Al Ahly SC in July.
The team is still in contention for this season's Egyptian Cup and will be up against Al Masry in the quarter-finals on Friday.
