The tournament is scheduled to take place from October 31, 2022 to November, 13 2022 in Morocco.
Tanzanian side Simba Queens have been placed in Group A ahead of the second edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League following a draw conducted on Friday in Rabat, Morocco at the Mohammed VI Technical Centre.
Simba, who emerged top in the CECAFA region qualifiers for the main event will face off with host club ASFAR Club, Green Buffaloes of Zambia, and Determine Girls of Liberia in Group A for the two tickets to the semis.
Kenyan duo of Corazone Aquino and Topister Situma, both with Simba Queens, will be flying Kenya's flag in Morocco despite the absence of a Kenyan club at the main event.

Group B has defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns, Nigeria's Bayelsa Queens who were WAFU B Champions, Egypt's Wadi Degla FC who qualified as UNAF Champions as at now, with the fourth team set to be determined as the UNIFFAC Zone is yet to complete their qualifiers.
The representative from UNIFFAC will be revealed after the conclusion of the zonal tournament set to take place from 10 to 16 September 2022 in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea.
Morocco has been at the forefront of hosting women's tournaments after successfully staging the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations last July where South Africa emerged winners.

The participating Champions League teams have responded to the new CAF Club Licensing criteria and they represent all the six zonal unions of Africa.
Mamelodi Sundowns will be hoping to defend the title they won back in 2021 with only Wadi Degla and AS FAR being the remnants from the 2021 edition.
Last season’s CECAFA representatives Vihiga Queens did not take part in the qualifiers following Kenya’s suspension by FIFA for government interference in football.
