Engesha was instrumental in Vihiga's 2-0 win over AS FAR Club
Vihiga Queens forward Tereza Engesha is upbeat ahead of their final group match against Rivers Angels of Nigeria on Friday at 30 June Stadium, Cairo starting at 5 PM.
Engesha was on fine form as Vihiga Queens staged a stellar performance against group favorites AS FAR Club of Morocco to stun them 2-0 and record their first win in the tournament on Tuesday evening.
His exploits in the match including some nice take ons against the Moroccans as well as his direct involvement in both goals saw her picked as the player of the match, an accolade that the Kenyan team was winning for the second time in as many matches with custodian Lillian Awuor having won it in the first match against Mamelodi Sundowns.

Speaking to CAFonline, Engesha revealed that winning an individual accolade in the previous match has been a great boost for him to produce an even better performance against the Nigerians.
Engesha also noted that the team is focused on beating the Nigerians, admitting that the game stands in their favor although it will be a competitive one.
“Winning the Woman of The Match award last match motivated me a lot to perform better in next matches. There’s competition but it’s in favor of the team. We will try to win this match to keep our chances in qualification to the semi-final," Engesha said.
Vihiga United have all to play for in the final group match and will have to win to ensure that they proceed to the semifinals.
The results of the other game pitting AS FAR Club will come in play in determining Queens' fate, with a win for Mamelodi Sundowns giving Queens the upper hand if they record a draw or a win of any kind.

In the event that AS FAR Club win and Vihiga Queens as well win, the goal difference will come in favor of Vihiga as there is only one goal between the two teams and a win of any kind by Vihiga will have covered that.
