
CAF names referees for Kenya-Cameroon WAFCON qualifier

Both teams will train at the match venue on Monday. Kenya will have a feel for the playing surface in the morning, while Cameroon will train in the afternoon.
CAF has appointed Mauritian referee Maria Cynquela to officiate Tuesday’s 2024 WAFCON qualification return leg game between Kenya and Cameroon at the Nyayo National Stadium in Nairobi.
Maria will be assisted by compatriot Windy Rambhoro as the first assistant referee and Bernadettar Kwimbira from Malawi, who will serve as the second assistant referee.
The reserve referee will be Mercy Kayira from Malawi, while Aisha Nalule will be the match commissioner. Her compatriot, Catherine Adipo, will serve as the assessor.

Kenya lost to Cameroon in the first leg played on Friday evening by a solitary goal, and they will be keen on overturning the deficit when the two teams meet in Kenya’s capital on Tuesday afternoon.
The Starlets contingent touched down at JKIA on Sunday at 10 p.m. Cameroon’s first batch also land at the same time as the second one expected in the country on Monday at midday.
