A letter obtained by Mozzart Sport from the Chairman of CAF Disciplinary Board Raymond Hack to Gor Mahia revealed that disciplinary investigations have been opened on Muguna and Oluoch.
“The officials of the above-mentioned match have indicated in their reports that: ‘’ After the match Gor Mahia players No. 29 (Boniface Oluoch Otieno) and No. 10 (Kenneth Muguna Mugambi) attacked us and used abusive language against us’’.
“CAF has decided to implement the provisions of the Disciplinary Code in terms of article 11, and to open an investigation allowing your affiliated players to respond to the reported incident,” read the letter in part.
The ultimatum issued to Gor Mahia expires on Friday 5 March after which the matter will be submitted to the CAF Disciplinary Board.
Gor Mahia players were incensed after Mokete awarded a controversial penalty to Napsa Stars after added time had elapsed in the second leg of the CAF Confederation Cup second leg Play-Offs.
A section of K’Ogalo players were accused of roughing up the referee as they demanded an explanation for the awarding of the penalty.
