With his seventh goal in the past six Bundesliga rounds, Serhou Guirassy paved the way for vital road win over St. Pauli - 2-0

It wasn't easy, but the three points are travelling to Dortmund! After a mild first half, Borussia performed an eight-minute blitzkrieg, netting twice between the 50th and 58th minute, and secured the essential victory on the road thanks to the magnificent Serhou Guirassy and his "sidekick" Karim Adeyemi - 2-0.

Despite Dortmund's first-half dominance, St. Pauli still managed to await the break level with the BVB - 0-0. Niko Kovac's men were in control but couldn't find a way to materialize their better display and find the net. After all, they made six attempts, but only one of them went on target, while the home team didn't give Dortmund's keeper Gregor Kobel a single task.

Yet, the visitors fixed the efficiency problems already in the opening minutes of the second half, as Serhou Guirassy broke the deadlock in the 50th minute and brought Borussia a vital lead, scoring his 14th Bundesliga goal. Only eight minutes later, the Guinean's "partner in crime," Karim Adeyemi, made it 2-0 following a fantastic solo effort, completing Dortmund's blitzkrieg!

After securing a convincing lead, Kovac could mix things up and refresh his lineup. Among the several subs he made, the Croatian gaffer gave Carney Chukwuemeka, a Chelsea loanee, a chance to debut in the yellow jersey.

Keeping the hard-won advantage was a routine for Dortmund unlike some previous matches, though Kovac's crew will remain tenth in the Bundesliga despite the triumph. However, truth be told, the fifth place is only four points away at the moment. Conversely, St. Pauli remain on the verge of the 16th spot and the relegation playoffs.
