Manchester City legend and former Belgium defender Vincent Kompany lands at Turf Moor!

The 36-year-old tactician has been appointed today as Burnley's new manager with a simple mission to guide the club back to the English Premier League.

It is an exciting appointment, one that supporters have been talking about with glee since it became clear he was still interested in the job despite Burnley's relegation to the Championship last month.

"Vincent is a proven leader, and I've been very impressed with his ideas for Burnley Football Club, his appetite to succeed and his focus on leading the club back to the Premier League," said chairman Alan Pace.
