The head of the youth academy, Pierre Sage, will take charge on an interim basis
Fabio Grosso has been sacked as manager of Olympique Lyon, according to L'Equipe and RMC Sport. The Italian tactician replaced Laurent Blanc in September but only managed one win in his seven games in charge.
His position in the dressing room had reportedly been weakened due to his treatment of some key players, notably Alexandre Lacazette and Rayan Cherki, who have been dropped in recent weeks.

The head of the youth academy, Pierre Sage, will take charge on an interim basis and will be on the touchline for the match against RC Lens on Saturday and likely for the trip to Marseille next Wednesday.
As per RMC Sport, former manager Bruno Genesio, Sampaoli and Igor Tudor all feature on OL's shortlist to replace the outgoing Grosso.
As we reported, the former Italian international suffered severe injuries a few weeks ago after Olympique Marseille fans attacked Lyon's bus after their Ligue 1 clash.
Grosso, who needed 12 stitches after sustaining cuts to his forehead and left eye, took to Instagram to convey his feelings.
"What happened on Sunday evening could have been a tragedy, and it certainly was for sport and for all those who love it," Grosso said.
"I hope with all my heart that it can be a lesson for our future.
"Thank you for all your support and your closeness."
