The High Court of Kenya in Mombasa has stopped the much-awaited Football Kenya Federation Annual General Meeting (AGM) that was scheduled for Saturday at the Kenya Institute of Special Education (KISE).
The AGM was set to deliberate on several things with the forthcoming FKF elections among the key issues.
On Friday, the High Court, under Lady Justice Olga Sewe halted the meeting after sports journalist Milton Nyakundi moved to the corridors of justice opposing the AGM over the legality of federation top officials to convene the event.
Acting on the support affidavits and support applications presented in Court on the 13th of March 2024, Sewe issued an interim stay of the intended Annual General Meeting of the FKF pending hearing inter parties of the application.

THIS MATTER coming up on 15th March 2024 for directions on the Notice of Motion dated 13th March 2024 before Honorable Lady Justice Olga Sewe, UPON considering the said application together with its Supporting Affidavit and the annexures thereto;
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED:
1. THAT the application be and is hereby certified urgent.
2. THAT the same be served forthwith on the respondents and the other parties for hearing on 18th March 2024.
3. THAT in the interim stay of the intended Annual General Meeting of the Football Federation of Kenya be and is hereby granted pending hearing inter parties of the application
The ruling throws the AGM into doubt with Football Kenya Federation yet to clear the air on whether the event will proceed or not.
