Illness is only a bitter memory for the Ivorian attacker
After beating Fortuna Düsseldorf 5-1 on Tuesday, Borussia Dortmund also won the second friendly at the training camp in Marbella. It was 6-0 (0-0, 3-0, 6-0) against the Swiss top-tier club FC Basel after goals from Sebastien Haller (3), Marco Reus, Donyell Malen and Jude Bellingham.

In the dress rehearsal before next weekend's Bundesliga resumption, BVB met Basel and played four 30-minute periods on Friday. BVB coach Edin Terzic got to try out most of his players, with the Ivorian coming on in the third "quarter".
After a foul on Giovanni Reyna, Haller scored his first goal with a penalty kick in the 81st minute to make it 4-0. The next goal followed shortly after that, when he pushed a cross from Julian Brandt over the line to make it 5-0 on 86 minutes. And just two minutes later, he completed the hat-trick, forcing the ball in from a corner. Three goals in seven minutes for Haller!
After half an hour of play, the former West Ham and Ajax man left the field again. It was more than enough for him to prove the nasty illness is truly behind him.
