Borussia are selling Sancho and/or Haaland, but who are they buying?

Borussia Dortmund is drifting away from the Champions League for the first time in six years. A defeat from a direct competitor for the TOP 4 - Eintracht Frankfurt and even seven points behind Adi Heather's team suggest that one of the most popular German clubs will not be able to rely on UEFA's millions, which is why sales of one of the big stars are more certain. As things stand at the moment, it will be Jadon Sancho rather than Erling Haaland.

The Millionaires expect at least 100,000,000 euros from Sancho's sale, and Borussia is preparing a plan for the transfer market. Hans-Joachim Watzke, Michael Zorc and Sebastian Kehl have reportedly sat down and narrowed the circle of potential reinforcements.

It has long been known that their main target is Maxence Lacroix, a young Frenchman who exploded in a Wolfsburg jersey this season. However, they are aware that it will not be easy to get to Lacroix (the market price is growing from week to week, and it is now at the figure of 25,000,000), so a backup solution has been prepared in the form of Augsburg's Felix Uduokhai (23). This season, the defender missed only one game, and is considered one of the best players in the Bundesliga. Uduokhai is characterized by strength and speed and fits perfectly into the system forced by Marco Rose, who will take over Borussia’s bench in June. Bild writes that Uduokhai would be available for around 15,000,000 euros.

Sancho's departure will fill the coffers of Dortmund, but it will also leave a hole in the offensive part of the team. It's not news: Borussia's premium options for his successor are Donyell Malen from PSV Eindhoven and Memphis Depay from Lyon. In both cases, Borussia would have to open the bag. The Dutch would not let Malen go for less than 30,000,000 euros, while Depay is said to be a rather unrealistic wish, because he is followed and wanted by top clubs like Barcelona.

There is also talk of a third serious option. It's Jonathan Ikone from Lille. The bosses of Dortmund see in him a similar potential as in Ousmane Dembele. What is an aggravating circumstance for the German club is that not all the money received from Sancho will to go to reinforcements.
