Head coach Patrick Odhiambo will have to make do without captain Moses Mudavadi, defender Salim Murunga, and veteran forward Kevin Amwayi when the two sides face off on Wednesday, 15 October.
Mudavadi, the longest-serving player at the club, has been sidelined since their 1-0 win over Sofapaka, a match in which he was stretchered off barely ten minutes in after suffering a hamstring injury.
Although he has since resumed light training, the influential captain is yet to regain full fitness and will not feature against Bidco.
Defensive stalwart Salim Murunga also remains unavailable after sustaining an ankle sprain during a training session.
The dependable centre-back, who impressed in the victory over Sofapaka, has since undergone plastering and is expected to be out for at least three weeks.
His absence leaves a huge gap in Odhiambo’s backline as Homeboyz aim to rediscover form following last weekend’s 2-0 defeat to Nairobi United.
Another setback for the Kakamega-based outfit is the continued absence of Kevin Amwayi.
The experienced attacker strained his left thigh in training and has been ruled out for a minimum of two weeks as he continues with his rehabilitation program.
Adding to the injury woes, goalkeeper Ibrahim Wanzala is still recovering after successfully undergoing surgery on a nagging left knee problem. The custodian is expected to make a full return sometime in 2026.
Confirming the developments, the club released an update on its official social media handles.
"We will be without captain Moses Mudavadi, Kevin Amwayi, and Salim Murunga ahead of tomorrow’s (Wednesday) clash against Bidco United... Meanwhile, goalkeeper Ibrahim Wanzala is continuing with rehabilitation after undergoing successful knee surgery.”
