Manchester City are on the brink of signing Atletico Madrid's midfielder. Bernando Silva should go to Madrid in this two-way deal

Saul Niguez, 26, one of the essential pieces in Diego Simeone Atletico Madrid's championship puzzle, is close to moving to Manchester City.

As per English media, Los Colchoneros have offered Saul to Pep Guardiola's side. On the other end, Bernardo Silva is expected to go to Madrid's red and whites in this, supposed to be, two-way deal.

Both the Spanish midfielder and the Portuguese attacker are not going through the best moment of their careers at their respective clubs. According to The Times, the price that Atleti set for Saul would be around 70 million euros, very similar to that of Bernardo Silva.

The Portuguese, at 26 years old, is no longer indispensable for Guardiola. However, it will not be easy to operate the whole thing since City's boardroom does not want to let him out without proper compensation.
