The Royals brush aside Espanyol 4-0 to clinch the much-deserved trophy in a campaign that has seen them dominate the league
There's no such thing as an easily clinched La Liga title, but Real Madrid have dominated this season from the start until the very end.
Today's 4-0 landslide home victory against Espanyol sealed the deal for the Royals, who are 17 points clear of their closest contenders, Sevilla, at the top of the table.
It was a carnival-like atmosphere at the Santiago Bernabeu, with the hosts triumphing in a classy style in front of their own ecstatic fans.
Rodrygo's first-half brace decided the game even before the break, providing Carlo Ancelotti with an opportunity to mix his cards in the second period to prepare his side for the gigantic test against Manchester City on Wednesday in the return leg of the Champions League semifinal.
