The victory moved Bandari to third on the standings, level on seven points with KCB and Kariobangi Sharks, who play on Sunday

Bandari FC's strong start to the campaign extended to Saturday afternoon with a 1-0 victory over Sofapaka at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.

Ken Odhiambo's side began the match on the front foot, controlling the game for the first 30 minutes.

However, Sofapaka, still searching for their first win of the season, played with a high defensive line, making it challenging for Bandari to break through.

The opener came courtesy of former SS Assad striker Beja Nyamawi, who scored Bandari's third goal of the season in the dying minutes of the first half.

Nyamawi, who missed several matches last season due to injury, will be delighted to have opened his account and will hope to maintain this form in future games.

The victory moved Bandari to third in the standings, level on seven points with KCB and Kariobangi Sharks, who play on Sunday.

Talanta 1-1 Bidco United

In another match held at Utalii Grounds in Nairobi, FC Talanta salvaged a 1-1 draw against Bidco United with a last-minute goal.

Anthony Akhulia's Bidco side, seeking their first win of the season after two draws and a loss, took the lead in the 76th minute through Peter Nzuki.

Nzuki headed in a lobbed pass from Erick Michubu, now in his second season with the team.

Despite Bidco's hopes for their maiden victory, Talanta, under the guidance of Jackline Juma, equalized deep into stoppage time to earn a share of the points.
