Bayern's way of doing business, you already know it - stealing from your biggest rivals

It seems, in the last fifteen years or so, that all other German clubs exist only as "nurseries of talent" for Bayern Munich. When the Bavarians like someone, no force can prevent them from bringing that player or executive. Everyone knows what the giant from Munich did to Borussia Dortmund in the past years, when the black and yellow threatened to take the throne...

A new big name in the Bundesliga is Red Bull Leipzig. They are growing year by year, winning cups, they defeated Bayern this summer in the German Super Cup, playing in the Champions League regularly... They seem to be able to compete with the Bavarians for the title of national champion this season.

And, at the same time, it has been shaky in Munich lately. There has been no peace there in the last two months or so. Thomas Tuchel is not doing well on the bench either - there were already talks about his replacement.

When that is the case, the modus operandi of the biggest German club is known: as soon as you see trouble around the corner, take away some resources from your biggest rivals. This time, the Bavarians are after Leipzig's sporting director Max Eberl. The famous Bild announced that his move to the Allianz Arena is only a matter of days. And all this on the eve of the championship clash between these two teams.

"I have a contract with Leipzig. But don't let's talk about me on the eve of this derby, this is about the two best German clubs, Leipzig against Bayern", said Eberl for Bild.

And then he added the sentence that makes Bayern really want to bring him.

"We created a really strong, attractive team, which started the season very well, and we want to confirm all that with a victory over the champion at home," added Eberl.

Therein lies the catch: Bayern did not react well in the last few transfer windows. They made massive mistakes, while others, primarily Red Bull, worked hard and thus, until recently, the drastic difference in quality was significantly reduced. Last season, only a miracle helped the giants from Munich to win the title, because Dortmund are the strangest club in the world lately. Such a setback would be difficult for Leipzig.

That is why it is better, the reason is in Munich, to weaken the rival while it is still possible. Max Eberl, who came to Leipzig in December and was previously the director of Mönchengladbach for a long time, apparently received an offer that could not be refused.

It is inspiring to build a team and a club, but Bayern is a league of its own.
