Bayern make crucial decisions about Kane and Upamecano ahead of UCL clash

The mesmerising forward and the French centre-back will be offered contract extensions
Just like Real Madrid or Tottenham, Bayern Munich are about to experience an exotic Champions League journey as they face Cypriot side Pafos FC in UCL matchday 2 on Tuesday night (10 pm).
At the same time, the Bavarians are also working seriously on keeping their key players and securing their future stays at the Allianz Arena.
Speaking prior to Bayern Munich's flight to Cyprus ahead of the Pafos tie, board member for sport Max Eberl was hopeful that Harry Kane would extend his deal. He has been absolutely incredible this season, scoring 15 goals and adding three assists in eight appearances across all competitions.
"A collaboration beyond 2027 is absolutely conceivable," said Eberl, talking about the 32-year-old English striker. "That's why we will discuss the next steps with him in a relaxed manner.
"He's an absolute leader, it would be fantastic to win [more] titles with him, and he said that as well.
"We want to do that with him for a long time to come."
With less than a year remaining on his current Bayern Munich deal, Dayot Upamecano's future is still uncertain. The French defender has interest from other European clubs (Real Madrid, among others), but the Bavarians want to keep the 26-year-old defender.
"I'm not surprised that many clubs are interested in Dayot," added Eberl. "We're also interested in extending his contract. It takes time, like the other contracts last year. We're trying to conduct the talks and convince him of the Bayern project. We definitely want to keep him."
The issue with Upamecano seems to be money, because his financial expectations are a bit higher than Bayern is ready to offer at the moment.
