Flick's crew await city rivals Espanyol at home, as a major favourite
What Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and Sevilla, among others, have tried to do in the past month, Espanyol will today try, too (18.15). The task is challenging - stopping Hansi Flick's Barcelona which leave no prisoners. The Catalans are on a streak of five consecutive triumphs, in each of which they have scored at least three goals. Moreover, each opponent fell with a difference of at least three goals.

Espanyol are currently only one step ahead of the relegation zone and do not seem to have the necessary power to threaten Barca. The tradition works for the home team as well since Blaugrana has noted 126 victories, whereas Espanyol have only 44. The rivals drew 46 times. In addition, today's visitors last time beat Barca 15 years ago, in February 2009 (2-1), and that speaks volumes.
Barcelona's list of injured players is still quite long, but Flick's men have proved that it does not affect their performances much. The German strategist is not expected to make many changes in the starting lineup, while the essential trio of Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, and Lamine Yamal will be at his disposal.
