The veteran full-back is a free agent after ending his long spell at Camp Nou and has already had talks with the MLS side

For years they had enjoyed mutual success at Barcelona, and now - one by one - they're gathering in Miami to spend the autumn of their careers in the same Major League Soccer side.

After Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba is also close to joining Inter Miami. As per The Athletic, David Beckham's club is increasingly confident they can sign the 34-year-old Spanish defender, too.

Alba left Barcelona after more than a decade with the club. He made 459 appearances with Barcelona, winning six La Liga titles and one Champions League. He's currently a free agent and has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia.

Inter Miami managing owner Jorge Mas revealed the club were in negotiations with Alba last week:

"Two or three more players are coming. We have talked to Jordi Alba."

Miami currently sit bottom of the Eastern Conference with 17 points after 20 matches, nine points below the playoff line. They will play two more league games before Messi debuts, leaving the legend with 12 league games left to push for the playoffs.
