Barca set a deadline for Roque, Deco announces Messi's farewell match

The moment is approaching when the great hope of Brazilian football, Vitor Roque (18), will put on the Barcelona jersey. Bringing in Roque after the end of the Brazilian Serie A (the last round is played on December 3) has been set as a priority for Barcelona's sports sector for the January transfer window, reports Catalan Sport. In order to achieve that goal, the current champion of Spain will have to operate in accordance with the aforementioned rule of FFP, which has been causing headaches for everyone in Barcelona for some time now. The new sporting director Deco is currently visiting Vitor Roque, where in a conversation with his representatives and people from Atlético Paranense, he agreed that a definitive decision will be made no later than November 15. Then it should be known if the young forward will play for Barcelona in the second part of the season or if he will stay on loan in Brazil for another six months.

"We talked about what could happen in January and the expectations are positive. But even if it doesn't happen, it doesn't matter, I'll stay calm and focused on Atletico. It's not easy, but I've always been calm and focused on what what comes first for me. At the moment it's recovery from injury," Roque told Mundo Deportivo.

The promising Brazilian injured himself on September 22 in a match against Internazionale, when he injured his ankle.

"Our medical team is coordinating with our Brazilian colleagues, day in day out. The most important thing is that the injury is not of a serious one and that he will recover quickly," said Deco.

The new sporting director of Barcelona in Brazil also talked about the farewell match for Leo Messi. He announced that it will be held at the new stadium of the Catalans, who are currently completely renovating their Camp Nou.

"Messi will definitely have a farewell game in Barcelona, but I think it will only be when the new stadium is finished. He will always be the greatest player of this club, which has its greats like Cruyff, Ronaldo, but he is probably the greatest of all. Messi, however, he is still playing and I hope it will be like that for many more years, because everyone who loves football would like to see him still enjoying himself on the field," explained Deco.
