The Dutchman will announce his decision on his next club after the EURO 2024

Four clubs want Xavi Simons, but he prefers only one - Barcelona. Simons' loan has ended, but after a brilliant season in Germany, offers are coming from various sides, and it is difficult to judge where he will continue his career, although the 21-year-old would like to join the Catalan giant. For the Dutchman, Barça is a priority since he spent his boyhood days there and was a member of La Masia from the age of seven to 16. The problem is that Blaugrana is troubled by financial fair play issues, so the only option is bringing Simons on loan. He has a clause in his contract with Paris Saint-Germain that allows him to choose his next club, and that fact could make it easier for him to move to Spain, given that he already wants to return so much.

However, PSG makes it difficult since they do not want to sell Simons now. In addition, the Saints' coach Luis Enrique has allegedly informed the Dutchman that he is counting on him next season. Nevertheless, the decision is on the PSG management as well because, in case of a sale, the Saints would have to pay a significant part of the transfer fee to PSV, given that the French bought him from the club from Eindhoven last July.

Well aware of Simons' qualities, German clubs also showed interest in the player who scored 10 and assisted for 15 goals in the just-ended season. Leipzig would like to loan him again, if possible, while Bayern also expressed its interest. The Bavarians' possible edge is in the sporting director, Max Eberl, who brought Simons to Leipzig last year. In the meantime, he changed the club and now wants Xavi in Munich.

Meanwhile, the player, apart from favoring Barcelona, wants to devote himself to his duties on the Netherlands national team. That's why he clarified that he will decide only after the end of the European Championship.

"I will decide only after the EURO. I want to fully focus on the tournament. The high intensity of the German championship and the way we played allowed me to make a step forward in my development. It was the best decision I could have made," said Simons.
