Kenga suffered an injury back in January 2021.

Bandari FC have been handed an injury boost following the return to full fitness of midfielder Shaban Kenga whose past year has been blighted by injury.

Kenga suffered an injury back in January 2021 while playing against Western Stima after a career-threatening tackle by Mukisa Junior at the Mbaraki Sports Club.

The Dockers released a statement on Thursday confirming the return to action of Kenga who resumed training with the whole squad.

“Attacking midfielder, Shaban Kenga has recovered from an ankle injury that had kept him out for a long period.

Kenga has gone through all the stages of treatment and has now officially returned to full training with the entire team,” read a statement from the club.

On his part, Kenga was thankful to the Bandari management for standing by him after suffering the injury as he had a long road to recovery.

“I would like to thank the club’s management for 100% catering for my needs during the period I was injured,” said Kenga.

The Bandari FC assistant captain went under the knife and was expected to return to action for the latter games of the 2020-2021 season but he was told surgical screws had to be removed for him to return to action.
