Bandari back in the FKFPL title race after win over Vihiga Bullets

Bullets were handed another blow in the quest for league survival
2019 Shield winners Bandari FC threw themselves back into the title race following their 4-1 win over Vihiga Bullets in a Football Kenya Federation Premier League staged at the Mbaraki Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Bandari went into the clash with one mission, to cut log leaders Kakamega Homeboyz’ lead at the summit of the table to just three points following their impressive games of five encounters without a defeat.
Bullets on the other hand were looking to build on their 4-3 win over Kariobangi Sharks that enabled them to leapfrog Wazito FC to the Promotion/Relegation Playoffs slot.
The Dockers had a bright start to the game and after coming close on a number of occasions, they finally broke the deadlock in the 21st minute when William Wadri threaded in a neat through ball to Keegan Ndemi who finished with aplomb.
Kevin Kimani who has been the backbone of Bandari’s fine run failed to add to his goal tally as his spot-kick was saved by the Bullets keeper after Abdalla Hassan was brought down inside the 18-yard area in the 45th minute.

Bandari were not to be denied three minutes later when that man again Abdalla Hassan who was a thorn in the flesh of Bullets defenders won a second penalty with Johanna Mwita taking charge of spot-kick duties this time and made no mistake to double Bandari’s lead.
The Dockers continued from where they left in the first half as they doubled their lead just three minutes into the closing stanza as Kevin Kimani atoned for his penalty miss by grabbing the third for Bandari.
Bullets were however not prepared to go down without a fight as they grabbed the consolation goal in the 52nd minute as they hoped the goal would be the start of another improbable comeback similar to the one witnessed against Sharks.
Just like in the first half Bandari scored another stoppage time goal, this time through Darius Msagha as they picked up the emphatic win over Bullets who suffer a blow in the relegation battle.
