Another COVID -19 outbreak is taking its toll...

English Premier League clubs executives will meet on Monday afternoon to debate the postponing the entire round of festive fixtures due to a coronavirus outbreak.

As per The Athletic, matchday 20 - the fixtures on December 28, December 29 and December 30 - is the round of matches most likely to be postponed.

Six Premier League matches were called off this weekend because a series of clubs registered a spike in COVID-19 cases, leaving them unable to fulfil fixtures.

The possible cancellation of Gameweek 20 may come at an economical cost for the Premier League as domestic broadcaster Amazon has the slot of games scheduled to take place between December 28 and December 30. It is understood that Amazon is not expecting the matches to be postponed.
