
Ayunga features in England as Morecambe suffer defeat

Despite not scoring, Ayunga has three goals in the last three games.
Kenyan forward Jonah Ayunga featured for Morecambe in the 2-0 defeat at the hands of Sheffield Wednesday in the English Football League (EFL) Division One.
The 24-year-old has enjoyed a purple patch, scoring three goals in the last two games coming into the match which handed Morecambe a shot in the arm in their bid to survive relegation.

The first half of the encounter saw chances few and far between the two teams that were fighting different battles on the table with Wednesday hoping to break into promotion places while Morecambe were hoping to evade the drop.
Wednesday had an impressive start to the second half as they only took 10 minutes to break the deadlock through George Byers who hit a worldie from outside the box that found the top corner.
With Morecambe pushing forward for a goal, Ayunga was withdrawn in the 80th minute and on came from former Brighton and Hove Albion forward Jonathan Obika.

Sheffield had to wait till the first minute of stoppage time to find the insurance goal through Nathaniel Mendez-Laing got on the scoresheet to ensure they settled for a 2-0 win.
The defeat leaves Morecambe two points from safety in Division One with 17 games left to the end of the season.
