The proposed loan deal has collapsed due to a disagreement over the planned salary coverage for the next six months
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, 32, has been out of the picture at Arsenal ever since Mikel Arteta left him out of his squad for a disciplinary breach over a family trip. Arteta stripped him of his captaincy and has not included him in his first-team team since the game against Everton in December.
Earlier this January, he also travelled to the Africa Cup of Nations to play for Gabon but returned to England after contracting coronavirus.

And now, in the last minutes of the 'cursed' month, his deal with Barcelona has broken down instantly!
As per The Athletic, the proposed loan deal has collapsed due to a disagreement over the planned salary coverage for the next six months.
Barring a late change in Barcelona's financial proposal, Aubameyang will not be moving to Camp Nou.
Except for the Blaugrana, there was also interest from Juventus and Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal. The last couple of hours of the deadline day will show if Auba will somehow find a new home and turn the tables. So far, so awful.
