Netherlands international, 25, comes on loan from Villarreal until the end of season
It was a done deal, we even reported about it, likewise, the entire world. And like many times before, we are seeing a major turnaround in the ultimate moments.
Instead of joining Everton and helping them in their relegation battle, Arnaut Danjuma is en route to Tottenham Hotspur for a medical ahead of a proposed loan move. The Spurs have obviously managed to hijack the Danjuma deal from the Toffees.
Danjuma, 25, had looked close to a loan move to Everton and had even undergone a medical on Saturday.
His switch to Merseyside was not formalised, however, with some paperwork needing to be completed.
That left the door open for Tottenham to make an 11th-hour play for the former Bournemouth man.
Danjuma has scored 22 goals in 51 appearances for Villarreal since his move from Bournemouth in 2021.
