If you want to win the EPL title you ought to be ready, alert and prepared at all times and ocassions. Literally

Mikel Arteta is definitely of a different ilk. He's trying not just to win trophies with Arsenal but also to teach his players that games and trophies are not decided just on the pitch and not exclusively thanks to their footballing skills.

As per The Athletic, the Spaniard wanted to teach his players a valuable lesson, so he recently opted for a quite unorthodox approach.

At a dinner with his players, the Gunners' manager secretly hired a team of professional pickpockets.

They were assigned to go around the tables and steal phones and wallets from the members of the Arsenal first-team squad.

Without revealing any other deatils, The Athletic's journalist James McNicholas tells that at the end of the meal, Arteta stood up and asked his players to empty their pockets.

As you would expect, a number of players were missing valuable items. The idea was to teach his squad the importance of being ready, alert and prepared at all times and in any circumstance.
