Antonio discharged from hospital, 'grateful for being alive'

The 2024 ended, and the 2025 began with fantastic news - Michail Antonio was discharged from hospital 24 days after a terrible car crash he was involved in. The Jamaican suffered numerous fractures and contusions, but his condition has significantly improved lately.

According to doctors' predictions, Antonio certainly won't return to the pitch by the end of the season, and his recovery could even be prolonged for the entire year. Given that his deal with West Ham expires in June, now the Hammers are up as everyone eagerly awaits their decision regarding the eventual contract extension, especially considering that he is the club's best-ever Premier League scorer with 68 goals.

"Every year around this time, I'm asked what I'm grateful for, and every year I've struggled to find the right words. But this year, I know exactly what I'm grateful for: being alive," Antonio wrote on his Instagram following the exit, among other things.
